About Me

Rachel Borka is an actor, comedy writer, and filmmaker who grew up in Minnesota and is a tater tot hotdish connoisseur. (Definitely googled how to spell connoisseur.) Growing up, she was always getting into trouble for playing sports with the boys because girls weren’t allowed. She graduated from the Actors Studio Drama School MFA acting program in NYC and honed her writing skills at Script Anatomy. She is currently a Yes, And Laughter Lab Finalist for her comedy pilot THE MARY JANES, about four women caught between live-action and cartoon realities after smoking a mysterious bag of marijuana. Her award-winning short film, THE MOSQUITO, about a relentless mosquito that ruins a young couple's night sleep and spirals them into therapy, which she wrote and acted in, was an official selection of the LA Film Festival, Flickers' International Film Festival, Chelsea Film Festival, & Twin Cities Film Fest. Rachel also is a decorated athlete (She has a black belt in karate. Watch out!) and over 7 years of experience working in hospital O.R.’s as a medical device sales rep, the latter 4 years spent with colonoscopy devices. So if you’re 45 years old or older... You are welcome. Rachel currently lives in Los Angeles.
